Channel 4, a big client at Holler, required a content managed website which would deliver video content showcasing 15 peoples life over a space of a year.
The first part of my role was to construct a technical document outlining how the website was to operate outlining main issues such W3C usability and cross-browser guidelines, video hosting, SEO and how the chosen web technologies (LAMP and JavaScript) would function the website.
The second part of my role required me to spec out and develop the CMS, working closely with the frontend developer for frontend code integration, ensuring all W3C standards and cross browser guidelines were achieved.

The focus of this role was the arsenal.com website. Work included stabilisation of existing JSP code and optimisation of the Oracle database powering the website leading to a 50% improvement in database performance, and a significant decrease in website downtime. Maintenance of the Arsenal.com Superstore including development in Perl and Sybase. Creating an In-House development inquiry form built in PHP and a MySql Database.
